Inflammation and You

Hi! click anywhere on this text to open today’s article. As an herbal healer, I am often asked about the nature of inflammation. Winter has been hard on us all, so here are the ways an herbalist might counteract, calm and erase inflammation. Copy the list, contemplate the methods available: capsules, poultices, electuaries, tea, tincture, cordials, and delicious additions to your dinner plate; decide what sounds both attractive and workable to you, and then go for it!!

The list includes herbs, fresh and dried, spices, fruits, nuts and seeds plus vegetables, movement in the form of Yoga and rest, so you have remarkable choices.

Herbs: Licorice, oregano, mint, ginger, chamomile, celery seed, horsetail, nettle, purslane, chickweed, rosemary and parsley.

Spices: Chili pepper, turmeric

Fruits: Pineapple

Vegetables: All dark leafy greens, celery, cucumbers, turnips, green beans, spinach and lettuces

Not everyone has access to the above items, or time to make their own applications, and if that’s the case, here are a number of products available that are powerful in the fight against payne, in the elimination of inflammatory symptoms, not merely a cover-up attempt. (This is the Herbal Tradition, after all!)

I think in terms of an impressive inflammatory erasing quadruple approach: again give thought about what is best for YOU: Fixx It, a Menthol Calendula Rub is good news for you, and such bad news for inflammation: rub a thin film where it hurts. Payne Management is powerful topical help, relieving serious payne in 10 minutes. Minerally rich, and herbally dense Body Bliss Bath Salts make a strong case for 40 minutes spent resting in a comfortably hot bath. Aches and payne find relief, germs and toxins are naturally, gently drawn from the body by salt; finally, the additional benefits of kelp, green tea and carefully selected essential oils do what they do best…herbally relieve inflammation. Lastly, let’s not overlook the power of Royal Preference’s (Mother Nature’s) anti-inflammatory essential oils. Everyone knows how strong Tea Tree and Peppermint are!

Tho I am a recognized healer, I am not a doctor, and will never try to be. Our Herbal Traditions have stood the test of time; remember, no matter where you jump in, you can feel really good about any/all natural protections you employ!

Why not make a pact with yourself? Commit with your heart and your mind to a 2 week protocol of items from the above list and watch carefully for resolutions? Prepare to be amazed!!

Be in touch as you can. I love hearing from you.
